Doku

Doku (ドク Doku^?), full name being Sanshirou Dokuyamada (毒 (どく) 毒 (やま) 田 (だ) 惨 (さん) 死 (し) 郎 (ろう) Dokuyamada Sanshirō^?), is mysterious talking owl who takes Shintarou Jagasaki as his partner to hunt down frenzied frogs and Fractured Humans. He also the source of Duhnng-Ball for Jagasaki every time he consumes a Frenzied Frog, which taste of the desires they fed off of beforehand.

In the case if Jagasaki manages to kill all of the frenzied frogs, he will have to kill himself so Doku can eat the last Frenzied Frog inside him. However, at the same time, Doku can create a single life when he consumes all Frenzied Frog, in which he can bring Jagasaki back to life.

Appearance

Doku looks like a regular owl but with a body in the shape of a sphere and human-like eyes. He has a WW2 pilot helmet, with the goggles down anytime he's flying at high speeds.

Personality

Doku most of the time seems like a regular companion in most anime, kind and cheering, but when annoyed he can become quite angry by shouting and cursing at whoever is annoying him. When eating a frenzied frog, Doku seems to become quite sadistic as he shouts at the frog if they know who he is, while he's tearing apart and eating them.

Powers and Abilities

Flight

Much like the owl he is, Doku has the ability to take flight. He can fly at fast speeds but seems to need his goggles down, seemingly so as his eyes aren't harmed. However, according to Doku himself, flying wears him out quickly, which he finds embarrassing. If we compare him to the barn owl then it is most likely that he can fly at a speed of 50 miles per hour.

Immortality

Doku is seemingly immortal, as it is shown when Jagasaki shoots him and clearly kills him, Doku later comes back to consume the frenzied frog that had infected Yuriko Ishizaka. It is later explained by Doku that as long as the Fractured Human Warrior of a partner is still alive, the partner will alive as well.

Resurrection

If Doku is to be believed, then he and all of the other Fractured Human Warrior partners can bring back a single life upon the elimination of all frenzied frogs. This ability means that Doku can bring Jagasaki, or someone else Jagasaki wishes, back to life after death. This ability can, presumably, only be used once however and only after all frenzied frogs are dead.

Trivia

Roving means to wander. Fitting, as Doku must wander from place to place with Jagasaki to find frenzied frogs.
