Bandou is a corrupt and psychopathic defense attorney responsible for the torment of Kemu and Imocchi during their middle school years, which ultimately led them down a path of villainy. He shows no remorse for his actions, despite being directly accountable for the destruction of Imocchi's family.
Although he hasn’t been infected by any frenzied frogs, he is regarded as one of the most vicious and despicable villains in the series.
Personality[]
Bandou embodies a cold-hearted manipulator, driven by a relentless ambition and a profound need for control. His upbringing in a family of unscrupulous lawyers has instilled in him a belief that power is paramount, leading him to engage in bullying as a means of asserting dominance over those he sees as vulnerable. He displays a chilling lack of remorse, reveling in the suffering he inflicts on Kemu and Imocchi. When his actions catch up to him, Bandou's rage reveals a fragile psyche; he becomes consumed by a desperate need to reclaim his former status, showcasing a blend of arrogance and entitlement. Ultimately, his personality reflects a toxic mix of ambition, cruelty, and a fear of losing control, culminating in a tragic downfall.
Background[]
Bandou was a notorious bully with psychopathic tendencies, hailing from a long line of unscrupulous lawyers. He ruthlessly targeted Kemu and Imocchi for being different, subjecting them to beatings and humiliation. After Kemu and Imocchi retaliated by exposing his bullying, Bandou exacted a cruel revenge by framing Imocchi's father as a molester and orchestrating a car accident that left Imocchi's mother paralyzed. This tragedy forced Imocchi to leave school to support his family, as his father's wrongful branding led to the collapse of their golf business. Ultimately, Imocchi's father succumbed to alcoholism, and his mother died as a result of Bandou's actions. While Imocchi's life deteriorated, Bandou thrived, becoming a successful lawyer, marrying a beautiful woman, and having a lovely daughter, all without facing any consequences for his past.
Eventually, Imocchi and Kemu reunited, acquiring frenzied froglets to seek revenge on their former bullies, with Bandou being their final target.
Shintarou Jagasaki and Mikazuchi Takemitsu conducted an investigation into Bandou, uncovering his corrupt practices and the harmful advice he often dispensed.
During Bandou's workshop, Jagasaki was compelled to kill both Kemu and Imocchi, despite sympathizing with their plight. Bandou then cruelly stomped on his victims' heads, declaring himself the victor, until Mikazuchi delivered a sucker punch that dislocated his jaw.
In Chapter 77, it is revealed that an older businesswoman who attended Bandou's conference investigated his past and malpractice, seeking to understand why he was targeted. This inquiry led to the exposure of all his wrongdoings as a lawyer and his role in ruining Kemu and Imocchi's lives.
Despite not being convicted of attempted murder after causing the car crash that paralyzed Imocchi's mother, or for defamation after falsely framing Imocchi's father, Bandou lost all credibility as a lawyer. His legal license was revoked for malpractice, his assets were seized by the police, and his wife filed for divorce, taking their daughter with her after realizing the extent of his despicable actions.
Enraged by the ruin of his life, Bandou vows to claw his way back to the top. However, he soon coughs up blood and discovers that some of Imocchi's poison powder has entered his system. Panicking, he realizes the poison is gradually killing him.
After over a decade of impunity, Bandou finally faces the karma he deserves.
